3/2 Spacious Gulf Front Corner Unit , Perdido Key, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

We had a wonderful stay at Pelican Perch. It's the most well-stocked condo we've ever stayed in, from kitchen to beach accessories and had pretty much everything we needed. We weren't able to use the balconies or pool due to ongoing construction, but the owners were up front with us about that before we got there. Even though we couldn't go ON the balcony, the view was still amazing and mesmerizing and we saw dolphins almost every day! Jim and Anne were great to work with, promptly answering questions. We woukd definitely stay there again!

The Pelican Perch is a very comfortable condo with a beautiful ocean view. We loved the decorations, comfy beach towels, washer and dryer, beach chairs and umbrellas, small cooler, and the balcony. Beach access is super easy! The owners communicate very well. We had the best time with our original family of five and we hope to be back again!! Thank you for the use of your lovely condo!!

This was our second time staying at Pelican Perch. It’s spacious enough for our family. The kitchen is well stocked. We like the short walk to the beach. There are chairs and umbrellas provided in the outdoor closet, and a small cooler. My only complaint is the master bedroom is at the end of the hall and can get hot later in the day. It needs a separate a/c unit. Perdido Key is far enough from the congestion of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, but close enough to drive to favorite restaurants and The Track for go carts. We had a great vacation and would definitely stay here again.

First of all Jim and Anne were great. They responded quickly to all my questions and messages. They are gracious hosts. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the condo and their attention to the small details. My only criticism would be there is only one coffee pot and it is slow to make a pot of coffee. My companions and I frequently wanted only one cup of coffee and a Keurig would have really been appreciated. The condo is very well stocked with everything you might need. The linens were good quality and plentiful. The view is gorgeous and we saw dolphins a few times. The construction next door is ongoing and I enjoyed watching their progress. If all goes as planned I hope to return to this condo again next year.

Such a great place to enjoy the uncrowded off-season beach! We loved the spacious condo and all the extras they had for us there to make our stay very comfortable! The ocean view was awesome. Beds were very comfortable, and the place was very quiet. Would definitely stay there again!

Our first visit to a Perdido Key was amazing. We could not have picked a better place to stay!!! The condo was very comfortable for two families. We were really surprised with how “stocked” the condo was. Plenty of trash bags, laundry detergent, etc. the patio closet was full of chairs and beach toys. Communication with the condo was easy and quick. We watched the Blue Angels and took a trip to Alligator Alley. Food at The Pointe, Sunset Grill, The Jellyfish we’re all really good. Drove to Pensacola and ate at The Oar and Shaggys. Can’t wait to stay here again!!

I second everything that Barbara stated in the comment below. It was a great condo. The condo had everything you needed. The games and books were a great addition. Our granddaughter loved all the kid books and games. The construction next door was of no concern because you were unable to hear it when inside and they were gone by the evening when we wanted to enjoy the balcony. We had a great family vacation.

This condo exceeded our expectations! A quick getaway with our adult children & granddaughter. Plenty of space. Owners were wonderful to work with & there is nothing they have not thought of for this unit; beach towels, chairs, umbrellas-this is unheard of! Next time, we will only bring clothing! Construction next door is of no concern bc inside you can’t hear them inside, during the day we were on the beach & by evening when we were ready to enjoy the front deck, they were gone. The only upgrade I could even recommend may be a broom!! This place is a gem, as are the owners!! Oh yeah, the beach is pretty nice too!??

We rented this at last minute and we were not disappointed! We usually don't rent a 3 BR due to availability. Like others have said - this place does NOT disappoint. The condo is very large and being a corner unit was even more a bonus. I loved that the building was only 8 floors not the big high rises. The area was not crowded but yet close to plenty to do. We watched the Blue Angels practice two days. This condo was so fully equipped and stocked all you need is your bathing suit :). They have done a spectacular job at every corner. Plenty of chairs, towels, beach towels - high quality. They were very communicative and reply quickly to any questions or concerns. This was the area we were needing. We thank you so much for sharing your place. We even left a couple items behind and they were gracious to make sure we got them asap. All the 5 star ratings are legit!!!

The condo was very spacious and slept our family comfortably. The owners were very helpful, and very quick to answer any questions we had. Short walk to the beach. At the time we were there, the beach area was small, so you were very close to the other guest. Most of them were very friendly, and we enjoyed getting to know them. It was great being able to use the chairs and umbrellas provided so we didn't have to bring our own from home. The construction noise wasn't bad inside the condo, however, there were a couple days it was loud when down on the beach. Even the sound of the waves couldn't block out some of the noise. Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation, and would stay at Pelican Perch again.

They were supposed to be done with the crane and moved on to interior work before the summer, but the weather has delayed their progress. We hope they have the noisier parts done very soon! Mother Nature has certainly shifted the sands a bit, but if you walk just a little to the left, in front of the vacant lot next door, the beach is wide and the rental chairs do not set up there, so plenty of room! That's what we do! Hopefully our nice wide beach returns with the tides soon too!

We stayed in Pelican Perch for 2-weeks. We have been going to Destin for the past 20 years but decided to try out Perdido Key for the first time this year. In comparison to other places, Pelican Perch was larger, cleaner, and overall, just nicer. The pictures here don’t show just how nice and spacious this unit really is. The owners have really thought of everything. We found every cooking utensil needed and the appliances were excellent. Soaps, lotion, laundry detergent, paper towels, as well as lots of board games and even binoculars for viewing the dolphins were a nice surprise. We haven’t ever stayed in a place that provided these things. Anne and Jim have gone out of their way to ensure that guests have everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The beach towels they provided were huge and plush! We have always arranged beach service on our, but the chairs (4) and umbrellas (2) provided by the Duhigs are high quality, so it isn’t necessary to pay the extra money for a set-up. Beyond the individual unit, the rest of the facility is very clean and well-kept. We happily and easily give Pelican Perch and the Duhigs the highest possible rating, but there are a couple of minor caveats. A new high-rise is under construction on the east side of Ocean Breeze West. As such, construction noise was present on weekdays although it isn’t too loud inside the condo when the doors are shut. It’s just noisy on the balcony or if you have light sleepers, and they start work at 7:00. A construction dumpster hindered the view of traffic while exiting the parking lot in our car. Also, the size of the beach (distance from dunes to waterline) was not quite as large as that shown in pictures. Most realize the beaches are always changing, but it’s worth noting that space on the beach was not optimum during our stay. Even with these minor issues, we will not hesitate to stay at Pelican Perch for all future visits to Perdido Key!!

The construction is unfortunate, but it is happening all over the key...luckily the one next to OBW will be a good neighbor! The new building just has 27 luxury condos and will not be allowing short term rentals! Our beach should remain uncrowded & we'll keep our million-dollar view! Look forward to your return visit!

This condominium is truly exceptional! It's quite spacious and comfortable and nicely decorated with soft colors and a well-equipped kitchen. We are three girlfriends in our 60s and 70s, and having HIGH QUALITY beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas included is fantastic!!! Another great amenity is having smart TVs in the living room and bedrooms. Being on the 7th floor offers an expansive view of the skyline, the vast, white powdery beach, and the sunsets, when we'd enjoy happy hour every evening on the huge corner balcony, watching the pelicans fly by...just a wonderful experience! This was our second time staying at Pelican Perch, and we can't wait to return. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PELICAN PERCH!

My wife and I stayed at this condo for 2 weeks, it had everything we needed and was very clean. And the owners were great. The view from the balcony was special, we saw a sunrise and a sunset from the balcony. We have stayed at a lot of condos in the past, we would stay here again in a minute. You will not go wrong staying here.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the condo on the 7th floor!! The view over the gulf was great! We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and great sunsets as well! Our family if five really needed a solid vacation, and that we got at Pelican Perch. Everything that the other reviews say is true. Beautiful condo, amazing views, fun town. As a mom, I don’t always get so much rest on vacation, tending to the needs and details surrounding kids at the beach. This place made things easy. The kids had room to play. Beach and pool are right there. Chairs, toys, and towels are right there. Beds were comfy. Excellent food and shopping nearby. The owners are attentive, kind, and thorough - and also are my brother and sister-in-law! I’m thrilled to have this wonderful place to hopefully visit again and again.

This condominium offers spectacular views from an expansive corner balcony facing West; so if you love having a cocktail at sunset, this is the place for you! The owners clearly put a lot of thought into creating a tasteful home environment with beautiful finishes and soft colors. The kitchen was well-equipped with gorgeous counters and an extra-large farm sink. There are beach chairs, beach towels, and two umbrellas included, which is truly wonderful! The flat screen Smart TV in the living room is especially large, and the sofa is super comfortable. The dining table is a really nice size and the bed linens are soft. On top of everything else, we loved the key-less entry and the easy access to the beach! Can't wait to return to Pelican Perch Perdido!

Better than any Air B&B!! Top notch amenities through and through from bath soaps to bedding! From the moment of booking Pelican Perch until the last day of our stay, the owner was responsive within minutes with any questions we had. You quickly notice that the entire complex and grounds are well attended to. The condo had a beachy decor throughout - perfect for the Perdido Key vibe! Breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets from the large balcony. If we could give more than a 5-star rating, we would!!! Will definitely book this condo again!

This was my first time on Perdido Key, so I didn't know what to expect other than more quiet that other popular Gulf Coast spots. The condo was very cute with plenty of room to relax and had everything we needed. Having beach chairs and an umbrella available was icing on the cake. The beach is gogeous!! Worried during Covid about crowding, but that was not a problem. I don't usually take a full week for vacation but this trip was so nice I think I changed my mind. I liked that it was not as built up/busy/commercial as Orange Beach. It was so nice to relax without a lot of hustle and bustle. I usually like to go somewhere different each trip, I have a rotating list, but this will be on that list for a return visit!!!

We were really in need of a great vacation, and this was perfect! We packed fairly minimally…a bit nervous about not bringing beach gear…. But there was no reason to worry! Great chairs and umbrellas. There were toys, but we were traveling with adult children. The beach was great. We had amazing weather the entire week. And the beach was not too crowded The condo itself was amazing. Large and very well stocked…..from towels (beach and bath) to the kitchen to games. We enjoyed it all!!! Finally, the hosts were amazing. Answered all my questions very quickly and gave great information. I’m writing this on our last day generally in denial that we have to leave tomorrow! Definitely would recommend this place.

Our family stayed here for a week in July. We had an amazing time at Pelican Perch! The owners have decorated beautifully! That in addition to the games and books provided made for great times especially when storms came through. The beach gear is definitely an added bonus. The bedding is awesome and able to accommodate 8 very comfortably. My favorite thing of all in the unit is the gorgeous view of the gulf. The balcony is large and comfortable. But the view is amazing! We made beautiful memories that we and our kids will never forget. We cannot wait to return! You will not be disappointed if you book Pelican Perch!

We stayed her for a week in June and it was a great vacation. The condo was genuinely nice, extremely comfortable and had great views of the beach and the bay side. The games, TVs, furniture, towels, beach gear, balcony furniture were all thoughtfully picked out by someone who knew what was comfortable in a beach condo and cared about the quality of your stay. It is exactly as the owners have it described in their listing. Anne and Jim were very communicative during our stay, answered our questions and made suggestions. The rest of the condo, residents and guest, were also great to be around for a family of 7 with kids and old people. Super family friendly place.

This 7th floor beach condo was the perfect family rental. The condo was spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed to cook fresh seafood from the local fish market was provided. We enjoyed the complimentary binoculars, books, smart TVs, and games. The beach was literally steps from the ground level pool. All beach needs - towels, chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards were provided. We had gorgeous beach views from the 2 decks and every window! We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in Pelican Perch for a girl's trip mid-May. The condo is very beachy and most everything is newly renovated. But.......the view is amazing from the front balcony! We spent a great deal of time on the balcony just enjoying the breeze, watching the birds and soaking in the views. This place is huge! Will definitely stay here again!
