We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice and comfortable for our large family. Al was quick to fix a couple of small issues we had, which we appreciated. We would definitely recommend it!

Great house. We had twelve people (6 adults and 6 kids) and it was super comfortable! Of the houses we saw in this neighborhood, this was one of the largest ones — updated — super well decorated and so convenient to pool and beach! We loved it!

Just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful beach house. Our family had the time of their lives. I had to put one of my granddaughters in the car as she was crying so hard that she didn't want to leave the beach house and my other granddaughter woke up when they pulled in at their house and started crying and said I don't want this house I want to go back to the beach house. Needless to say all the grand kids loved it and so did the big kids. Thanks for letting us make some unforgettable memories at the casa hopefully we will return again someday soon. This house was AMAZING! The owner is super good to work with and very accommodating! My family stayed here over the 4th of July and had a blast. The beach is a less than 5 minute walk and the pool is literally right across the street. There is also a dollar general within walking distance that is helpful for the last minute things you need for cooking. Since there we 17 of us, we cooked at the house most nights. There was more than enough room in the kitchen for cooking and seating. Bedrooms are nice size and bathrooms are nice and updated. Overall, I would highly recommend this house and working with this owner. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT I COULDNT STAY LONGER!My ResponseThank you for your kind words and do hope you can return in the future. I really happy you enjoyed your time at the beach. Al

My entire family loves this home!!!!! Al did a beautiful job updating the entire downstairs and all bedrooms are spacious and have great mattresses and bedding. Everything and anything you need is supplied in the newly updated and beautiful kitchen. The air conditioning unit does an awesome job cooling the entire house and the hot water and water pressure is great in all the bathrooms and kitchen. Plus the owner Al Appling, is the nicest and most accomodating and responsive owner you could ever want or need. We will definitely rent this beautiful home again!!!

The home was amazing. Plenty of room for all of our families. We had a family reunion to celebrate my in-laws 40th anniversary, so we brought together four different families with kids. There was plenty of room to house all of us with out stepping on each other. The proximity to the pool and beach was wonderful. The house was fully stocked with dishes, appliances, pots and pans. Anything you could think of you needed to cook with, Al had it in this house. It was great. Al was very accommodating, even with last minute changes to our reservation. Thanks for allowing us to stay here. We will definitely be returning if our kids can handle the drive again!

This was our first time to the Destin area. We had a great time at the house and the beach. The walk to the beach is not bad. Having access to the private entry was perfect!! The beach was clean, not too crowded, and beautiful. The house accommodated 11 of us and exceeded expectations. Our only recommendation would be to account for travel time on the island. With 98 as the only main road, travel time was terrible. Make sure if you plan on leaving the development, you plan to leave early. Al was fantastic and responded to anything we needed. If we travel to the area again, we would definitely book with him!!

This was of 5th trip to Destin & our 2nd stay at Casa Grande. Everything about this house is perfect. #1-The location. 2 minutes from the beach and a chauffeured golf cart to get you there even quicker. #2-The house itself. There were 16 of us with the youngest being 13 - we all fit, and had more than enough space, & could even find space for quiet time to relax and read. The house is spotless, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possible need, and you just feel like you are home! #3-The owner! He is extremely responsive & very easy to work with. #4-Being so close to old hwy 98, the walking path, the restaurants, and THE BEACH! You are straight across from the entry to the private beach with an area to leave your wagon (which is provided), clean bathrooms, and plenty of hoses to clean the sand off at the end of the day. We are already looking forward to 2019, as we will be back in Destin and back at Casa Grande!

The house was beautiful and close to the pool. The walk to the beach was very short. The private pavilion at the beach was so nice....Al helped us with any questions or needs. I recommend this house highly and will be back next year ðŸ˜

Everything was awesome. We arrived a little early but were allowed to check in if the cleaning crew was done. Since we were traveling with our dog, the owner ever suggested a restaurant that allowed dogs. By the time we did our grocery shopping, we went by the house and it was ready. We can't wait to return next year Thank you so much!

Casa Grande of Emerald Shores--Gorgeous Two-Story Home Near The Water
Emerald Shores is a family oriented community with two pools, (one heated in winter), tennis court, basketball, and a Pirivate Community Beach Pavilion with restrooms. Our shuttle runs to the beach daily (approximately every 15 minutes) in the summer months, but you can just walk the 500 steps to the beach easily. This is a great community for your family vacation and just as good for our snowbird friends for a long term escape from the cold during the winter months.
This comfortable home is located on the south end of Emerald Shores where you can walk to several fine resturants and very close to the Winn Dixie, or just enjoy free WI-FI, cable, and flat-screen TVs in every room. There is tile throuh out on the first floor and hardwood on the second floor. No allergies from carpet in this home.
There are 4 porches at this home where you can sit relax and enjoy the Destin life. Grill out on the gas grill or cook in side in the fully equipped kitchen.
Emerald Shores is centrally located so you do not have to drive far to get to your favorite resturant, activity or shopping. Just a couple of miles east to Sanddestin where you can dine, golf or chill at the Village of Baytown Wharf. Enjoy shopping eating and entertainment at nearby Destin Commons or travel west to play at the Big Kahunas water park. Also west, you may choose to spend a day at the Harbor watching the fishing fleet come with their datch of the day, or try your luck fishing on one of the many fishing boats available or just rent your on pontoon or jet ski. At day's end, take in one of the fine resturants or play at night at one of the many night spots at the harbor. Don't forget there are numerous golf courses within a few miles.
The floor plan for the house is:
First Floor:
The living room , dining area, kitchen and office area , utility room, powder room and a king master suite with a large walk in closet. The private bathroom boasts a large corner garden tub, double vanity and walk-in shower. If needed there is a queen sofa sleeper in the living area.
Second Floor:
The loft area has a walk out covered porch and a convertible single chair bed., Additionally on the second florr is a master bed room with a king bed, and adjacent bathroom. There is a another bedroom with a king bed and a third bedroom with a queen bed. Last is the bed room for the kinds with bunk beds and a trundle and a day bed with a trundle.
